How Outpatient Clinics Are Improving Venipuncture Success with Handheld Vein Finder Technology
Venipuncture is one of the most common procedures performed in outpatient clinics, yet finding suitable veins remains a challenge for many healthcare professionals. In outpatient blood collection rooms, infusion centers, and physical examination departments, elderly patients, children, and patients with difficult venous access may experience repeated needle attempts due to poor vein visibility. To address this challenge, more medical facilities are introducing handheld vein finder technology into daily clinical workflows. By providing clear visualization of superficial veins before puncture, handheld vein finders help nurses identify appropriate veins more efficiently, improve venipuncture confidence, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Electronic Colposcopy from a Clinician’s Perspective – Why We Trust This System for Daily Cervical Screening
This article presents a firsthand clinical review of our electronic colposcopy system from the perspective of gynecologists and nurses who use it daily. It highlights the system’s practical advantages: high-resolution digital imaging with 10–60x magnification that reveals subtle cervical lesions, a heat-free annular LED ring light for uniform illumination and patient comfort, and a large-screen display that facilitates real-time sharing with patients and colleagues. The authors share how the device improved diagnostic accuracy, reduced procedure time, and enhanced patient communication and trust. They also discuss the ease of setup, minimal training requirements, and reliable after-sales support. The system is already widely adopted across multiple provinces in China, with multiple price configurations to suit different budgets. The piece serves as a testimonial and practical guide for healthcare professionals considering an upgrade to digital colposcopy, emphasizing clinical benefits,

Oncology nurse using vein finder on cancer patient arm + projected vein image + hospital background
Venous access can be particularly challenging in oncology patients because repeated venipuncture, long-term treatment, vascular fragility, edema, and other clinical factors may make veins difficult to identify. A 2025 prospective clinical study at Anyang Cancer Hospital investigated the use of optimized lighting combined with a vein visualization device during venipuncture in 240 patients. The reported results showed that the combined approach could improve first-attempt puncture success, with the highest reported success rate reaching 98.3%, while also reducing puncture time and pain scores. These findings highlight the potential value of vein visualization technology as an auxiliary tool for improving venipuncture efficiency and patient experience in oncology care.

Vein Visualization Using Near-Infrared (NIR) Vein Finder Technology in Nursing Care: A Review of the Benefits and Shortcomings
This review examines the benefits and shortcomings of near-infrared (NIR) vein visualization technology in nursing care based on a systematic literature search of major electronic databases up to November 2021. The findings show that NIR-assisted intravenous cannulation in pediatric patients significantly reduces cannulation time and the number of attempts. The technology proves effective in real-time vein identification, improves first-time insertion success rates, and is particularly beneficial for patients with difficult venous access, including those with low vein visibility associated with Asian and African-American ethnicity or obesity. The review concludes that NIR technology is a useful, low-cost tool for locating veins for cannulation, blood sampling, and other medical purposes, especially in pediatric and elderly patients.
